Haley Slone is a visual artist based in Dayton, Ohio, working primarily in oil painting and printmaking. A graduate of Wright State University with a BFA in Studio Art, Haley's path took a radical and life-altering turn in 2019 after a motorcycle accident left her with organ damage and without full use of her right arm. Facing a 44% chance of survival and the abrupt end of a career in healthcare, she made a decision: from that point on, her time would belong only to what she loves.
Now five years sober (and with a new, surgically reconstructed shoulder), Haley devotes her life and work to seeking out things in life “worth looking at.” Once lost in addiction and cynicism, she now travels, creates, and lives with intention. She seeks to capture the wonder and fleeting magic of life in every piece she makes. Her art is rooted in joy, gratitude, and defiance—a visual journal of what it means to keep going, to stay curious, and to celebrate being alive.
Through her work, Haley invites viewers to pause and look closely at the everyday marvels we often miss. Her paintings and prints serve as reminders that the world is wide, time is short, and beauty is everywhere—if you're willing to seek it.
